Founding: “Matrices of Websites”

Neon AI was founded in Bellevue, Washington in 2000 as an internet research lab and software developer initially launched as "NeonGecko".

During the early web boom, we focused on automated web portal toolsets, operating thousands of niche domain "matrices," regional directories, and automated e-commerce hubs designed to scale web traffic, e-commerce, and digital infrastructure efficiently.

The online stores were huge successes gaining thousands of positive reviews and Northwest Home Magazine Top Shops Award winner. The ecommerce stores were sold in 2008.

In 2019 we debuted the NeonX touchscreen PC at CES, concentrated on Klat.com (putting the Adaptive Forums patent into action as a multi-threaded conversational web engine), and released the Neon AI SDK and mobile apps with support for 100+ languages.

This is the time when we dropped rebranded from NeonGecko to Neon AI to highlight this shift.
